Old Macdonald's Farm has fantastic facilities to ensure that your family has a fun day out whatever the weather. Come and meet our Farm animals and of course, children love our Indoor soft play areas and outdoor activities.
Our Cafe menu offers a wide range of delicious snacks, confectionery & meals for you to enjoy in the comfort of our seated area or next to our soft play area so you can keep an eye on your children whilst enjoying a cuppa!
School & Group Visits
Old MacDonalds open farm offers fantastic teaching facilities for educational visits and there is plenty to see, touch and do!
We are perfectly situated for schools from in and around Essex and East London. We have a wide range of farm animals including many rare breeds to meet and learn about how they live what they eat and how they rear their young. We can arrange educational support for your visit to help learn about life on the farm.
Health & Safety
Your health and safety is very important to us, we have staff trained in First Aid available at all times stationed around the farm.
Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and must be supervised at all times.

Access statement from Old MacDonald's Farm
Old MacDonald's Farm welcomes visitors with Access Needs, together with their helpers or carers, and we actively seek to promote and provide equal opportunity for all who visit us. We would wish to encourage everyone to fully enjoy the range of facilities and entertainment available. We have made every effort to ensure that the Farm is fully accessible for all and welcome constructive advice as to how we can improve our services. We recognise that there are many and varied specific needs and requirements and our staff are experienced in giving assistance to all. Some of the provisions we offer are listed below and for other particular needs, such as learning difficulties, partially sighted or hearing and others our staff will offer advice and support. Our entry fees demonstrate our commitment to offer access for all.
BALPPA Statement on Public Safety for People with Special Needs
Members of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) such as Old MacDonald's Farm welcome visits by people with access needs and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit. However, some of our rides and attractions can be physically demanding & vigorous and we therefore reserve the right to refuse access to certain rides and attractions should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals to ensure the well being of all of our customers. The Health and Safety Executive advise that refusal to allow access under these health and safety conditions is necessary and therefore it is not deemed as nor does not constitute discrimination.
We hope that you understand and accept any such decisions are only made in the interest of the health and safety of our customers. Should you have any questions about this at the time of your visit please ask to see the Duty Manager or feel free to contact us in advance of coming to Old MacDonald's Farm to discuss this matter.
All of our doorways are designed to enable good space for wheel chair users. We also provide wheel chair paths around the farm, appropriately laid out to fit in with our outdoor environment.
We provide fully equipped toilets for those less abled with safety alarms.
We provide parking spaces at the entrance of the farm.These are only available to 'Blue Badge' holders.
Cafeteria & Eating Areas
Our cafeterias and refreshment areas offer excellent wheelchair access.
Helpers & Companions
In the interest of their comfort and well being, visitors with access needs are required to have at least one helper over the age of 18 accompany them onto the rides.
Helpers accompanying guests with access needs onto the rides may be required to sit in the same carriage as the visitor they are assisting.
Helpers must be able to assist the visitor with gaining access to and leaving the rides (including transfer from wheelchairs).
Our staff will give full instructions and advice, but for everyone's safety, we will leave all lifting to the Helpers who will be practiced in this.
