Old Macdonald is thrilled to report that we have won the East of England Tourist Board’s award for Excellence for Sustainable Tourism, beating many other attractions right across the area, and have now been entered by the Tourist Board in the National Awards to be decided later this year. He sent Sindy and Joseph Manning along to the presentation night, and you can see them above accepting the award from famous travel writer Simon Calder. The award was given for our innovative work in educating and encouraging visitors, and in particular young visitors, to care for the environment and we are very proud of what we have achieved.
You can join our mailing list and receive special offers when you visit the farm during the festive season, so read on for more news and how to join.
Each month, usually, and sometimes even more often we delight our Farm Friends (or aggravate them, who can tell for sure?) by sending out our newsletter by email full of competitions and very special offers on entry fees, plus first chance to visit Santa in December plus other opportunities. We do not pass this list on to any other agencies or organisations so you will not get bothered by unwanted emails, except ours of course, and we already have over 1500 people on our list. If you want to join then send a comment back through this website article or email us directly on oldmacdonalds@btconnect.com and you will find you are on a long list of people who love our farm and get great bargains. (The current one is kids for a quid with children coming in for just one pound with a paying adult and our donating the money to Starlight Foundation for Seriously Ill Children and Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, so that is a really good offer for the winter months!)
Old Macdonald looks forward to sending you lots more news on his award winning farm, and to stop being so perishing smug about it too though that may take a little longer.
