Treat Dad to a Day out on Father’s Day (June 15th)

We are running a special promotion this year so if you print off this story and bring it with you your Dad come in for just £1 for the day, and have a free cup of tea and some biscuits too. Then you can go off and enjoy all the animals and the attractions too while he sits and drinks his welcome cuppa and maybe watches our Giant Screen TV in the play area. (more…)

Poems from our Pigs!

toby.jpgenjoying-a-wallow.jpgFor a bit of fun, and education too, Old Macdonald’s would like to feature appropriate poetry on our web pages. So here is a contribution from our pigs, who have actually pinched it from Benjamin Burt in 1933 but in fact it might be older!

 Still, it is just for fun and hope you enjoy it.

One evening in October, when I was far from sober

To keep my feet from wandering I tried

My poor legs went all a flutter so I lay down in the gutter

And a pig came up and lay down by my side.

We sang “never mind the weather, just so long as we’re together”

Till a lady passing by was hear to say…..
